I’m Alicia-Joy Pierre, creator of Raw Writing. I’ve been writing online since 2012. I’ve written blog posts, articles, essays, and books (for myself and my clients).

For me, writing has been a literal and figurative journey. It's my dream catcher and self-soother all in one. It's how I process my thoughts, understand my feelings, and share my body of work with the world. My body of work is me, in a sense. The non-physical side of myself. Writing is the magical midwife that births my heart murmurings and soul stirrings into physical form and gently (sometimes violently) delivers them onto the page. 

What I see people struggle with most is writing—and sharing—their own real stories. Not the stories about what they had for lunch or what they're working on in their business, but their heartfelt stories of who they are and how they feel beneath the masks they wear.
